Keeping Up with Karen
Have you ever had a boudoir session before? What made you decide to have one now?
No I haven’t. My husband Patrick and I will celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary Jan. 6 2020, and I will turn 60 Feb. 26 sooo I thought these are two milestones that needed to be documented and celebrated!
What was your biggest fear before hiring Samantha to photograph your boudoir session? Did it come true, and if not, what happened instead?
That I would look silly trying to be sexy and I would be disappointed in the photos. Samantha is a true artist with her eye for detail, posing and lighting. I could not be any happier with the finished results!
Did you have concerns about spending the money on a photo shoot? If so, how do you feel about it now?
I was so worried about spending the money since we had a lot of expenses not planned for this year: moving, updating old house, 2 new roofs etc. I asked Samantha about cancelling and she was very supportive and not pushy. I had put so much time and effort into purchasing lingerie and preparing for my photo shoot that I decided I needed to do it or would regret it. I’m so ecstatic that I took the plunge and will do it again. Samantha and her team are so talented; it’s money well spent! BTW I pre-bought a package before my session and was going to stick with that price point….well after I saw my reveal photos I wanted all of them so that blew that theory out the window!
What, specifically, was your favorite part of your shoot, and why?
That I felt so comfortable with Samantha and her team from the moment I walked in. My favorite photos are in the bathtub. I love bright colors and water.
If you were to recommend us to your best friend, what would you say?
Celebrate yourself and you will get a new perspective on how you look and feel! You give so much to everyone else– pamper yourself!
If the photos were taken as a gift for someone, what was their reaction? What was the special occasion?
I thought my husband knew what my secret surprise project was. We have a joint Amazon account and he says “You’ve been ordering a lot,” and I told him I was working on a project. I also don’t wear lingerie often. I was very surprised he hadn’t figured it out between the massive lingerie orders and a day trip out of town. His socks were knocked off! He absolutely loved the photo album and 2 wall art pieces! I turn 60 in February and it’s our 25th Wedding Anniversary…..2 milestones to celebrate!!!
Has your photo shoot impacted you in a way you didn’t expect? If so, how?
It’s brought out the way I feel inside outside….I can feel and look sexy and sultry…..especially with Patrick. No matter my age I’ve always felt young, fun, vibrant and this experience embodies that!
Final thoughts?
Since I’ve been to Unveiled, my head is full of creative and fun ideas for my next photo session! I can’t wait!
We absolutely loved our time spent with Karen in the studio. Her energy was so positive and bright, and yet she had this wonderfully moody side that was so fun to capture!
