I had my own boudoir session done.
That’s right! Me, your photographer went out and “walked the walk!”
It was amazing. And stressful. It was fun.
The time slipped by and my shoot snuck up on me, the same line I hear from clients! I couldn’t sleep the night before my session, and I woke up before my alarm which is NOT like me at all. Because I went to New York for my shoot, I had to stay in a hotel so I was a little out of my element. Naturally, I forgot a ton of things I needed, but too late, no turning back now.
I literally brought a bag of wardrobe I knew I wasn’t going to wear; I was leaving it up to my photographer to select my wardrobe because I am the most indecisive woman on planet earth. She had me arrive a bit early so I could try things on, and to my surprise, I pretty much loved everything I put on. Having two other women there giving me feedback and gushing over me certainly helped, because I did NOT feel that way in Victoria’s Secret when I was searching for the right pieces.
Posing was incredibly difficult, this is coming from the posing master herself. That. Shit. Is. Hard. Some of the ways she had me contorting felt straight out of the exorcist. The poses she does with her clients are very different than the ones I do with my clients, so I hadn’t practiced these before and my body wasn’t used to the angles.
But of course, when the shoot was over and I got to see my images, I loved them all! I had some favorites for sure, so here are a few I wanted to share with you guys.
I CANNOT wait for my next session, I am already planning it and have so many new ideas. I am always inspired by other photographers, and this has really fueled my fire!!
See you guys in the studio.
