So, you’ve booked your photo shoot, and right now I’m guessing your mind is flooded with questions about hair and makeup, poses, and how to make a sexy face without cracking up. You are probably making to-do lists and researching the perfect wardrobe pieces online.
Most of our clients want to jump head-first into planning their “look” as soon as they book their shoot. That’s the fun part right? But, we are actually going to put a brief pause on planning your wardrobe, hair, makeup, nail color, and poses. Ok? I know it may be hard, so hang in there with me. 😉
FIRST, we need you to put this date in your calendar and understand why it’s so important not to cancel when the time comes.
You see, planning is hard. Especially when you’re planning to be half dressed in front of a camera. If you aren’t committed to this date, you will make excuses to cancel. Even after all that planning you did. If your heart’s not in it—if you aren’t doing this at least partly for you—something else will come up and take its place.
In our ultimate planning timeline, we talk through those feels and give you a step-by-step checklist to help you prepare for your shoot. Preparation always makes me feel better, and I’ve got decades of experience doing this. So let me help you. Start here for a few key timelines to use as you’re planning your session with us (scroll to the bottom of the post for the timelines).
I don’t like to overwhelm my clients, so we’re going to do this in baby steps. You will receive more info covering topics like hair and makeup, wardrobe, setting the mood for your shoot, and deciding which products you want to walk away with in the near future.
So excited to celebrate you, girl!
