I’m not sure I can do this…
See boudoir photos and think, “I’VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE AND IT’S WAY OUTSIDE MY COMFORT ZONE!!” You’re definitely not alone and it’s completely normal.
This experience is probably way out of your comfort zone. Most people aren’t used to being seen in such a vulnerable state, and being in front of a camera can be nerve-wracking. Some people may be totally comfortable with this, but the majority of our clients have some reservations.
Most women would agree that doing a boudoir shoot was something they never thought they would do, but they were so glad they did! It’s common to be afraid of not liking your images because society has given women warped views on what’s considered ‘beautiful,’ but we’re here to smash those views and show you that no matter what, you are gorgeous in your own unique way!
An important thing to remember is you can be as conservative as you want for your session. You don’t have to get completely nude at any point during your shoot! There’s sooooo many options out there for wardrobe pieces that cover more: long-sleeved bodysuits, robes, sweaters, even jeans. Granted, you may feel so badass after your hair and makeup transformation that you want to show some skin – that’s why having something like a sweater that you can wear at first but then take off later is a great option! No matter what you decide, and how covered or uncovered you wish to be, we’ll be here to guide you and support you from start to finish.
We all experience anxiety or insecurity at times, but it’s good for our souls to push ourselves to do things we wouldn’t normally do. It’s GREAT to push boundaries. It shows us how powerful we are and that we CAN do scary things. This experience isn’t scary – but it’s a great way to get out of your comfort zone and feel beautiful. You deserve to feel beautiful. We’re here for you and we’re cheering for you every step of the way!
